| Entirely family-run, Domaine de Miselle makes wines of Gascony, which are pure expression of their terroir.
ESTATE & VINIFICATION
Located in the heart of Gascony in the prestigious "Bas-Armagnac" area, the 28-ha vineyards of our estate, merged around the cella, spread over slopes on typical loamy-sand soils called "fawn sands". This terroir, favourable to white grape varieties, gives birth to classy, elegant, fresh and lively wines of CĂ´tes de Gascogne.
7 grapes, well-adapted to our terroir, are used to produce our wines :
- Colombard, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng et Chardonnay or the whites (90%).
- Tannat, Merlot et Syrah for reds and rosés (10%).
Through sustainable farming of vines we produce healthy and ripe grapes in the most natural way possible, to fully benefit from the typicity of the terroir. Our objetive, through our unobtrusive grape growing techniques, is to achieved maximum flavour concentration and fruit quality. We constantly strive to bring out the unique Gascony typicity of our wine!
Domaine de Miselle annually produces 300.000 bottles, of which 90% white wines and 10% rosé and red wines.
Upon delivery at the winery, the harvest, constantly protected from oxidation, follows the tradional winemaking process.
OUR VINS DE PAYS FROM COTES DE GASCOGNE
Dry White:
Colombard 60% – Gros Manseng 40%
A typical Gascon wine, fine, elegant and fruity. A crisp taste, possessing great freshness and roundness, giving a perfectly balanced wine.
Petit Manseng:
100% Petit Manseng
Subtle bouquet with floral character and delicate hints of honey. The flavour is at once very fresh and round, supple and unctuous, smooth and full on the palate. An elegant and easy to drink Gascony wine.
Syrah Rosé:
100% Syrah
A superb bright colour of medium intensity with orangey glints. The nose resolutely opens up on fruit notes: strawberry, pomegranate, raspberry and candied fruits aromas with a light spicy finish which makes it even tastier. It offers a well-balanced freshness and roundness.
Red:
Merlot 50% – Tannat 50%
Very pure, straightforward nose of red fruits, raspberry, blackberry mixed with a well-integratde hint of toasted oak. Silky, full-bodied and balanced in the mouth to reveal lingering fruity aromas. A very pleasant wine.
